With less than 24 hours to go before the 24HR Mega Man Marathon for Child’s Play Charity, I am ecstatic to be able to be a part of this event.
At first, it was just an idea started from a local friend, Steve Rosa. I thought it was a great idea being the 25th Anniversary for Mega Man. Being up for new challenges, I decided to go full speed ahead on it and see what kind of support we would get. Boy, did I underestimate that.
We have received much support from Mega Man lovers all around the nation. We have also been given promos from featured articles (Destructoid, The Mega Man Network, Rockman-Corner), tweets from individuals popular within the gaming community (Seth Killian, Brelston of Capcom, Triforce), and prizes to raffle from many creative organizations (Otaku Beadsmith, Roadstown Crafts, Kodykoala, Drawp.com, GAAM).
We hope that you will be entertained with our event and that we can raise lots of money for Child’s Play Charity! Our initial goal is $1,000, but I believe we will soar past this. I hope to raise at least $5,000! Before we do, it starts with you. Feel free to give a donation below between now and the end of our marathon. All who donate through ChipIn will automatically be entered into our raffle! Each raffle will take place between each Mega Man game we play. If you are not present, we will contact you by e-mail.
We will be kicking things off Saturday, February 16 at 6pm for 24 hours straight on http://twitch.tv/stormunity. See you there!
