Scoring
All DDR Main Events will be using the following Scoring method:
Marvelous = 3, Perfect = 2, Great = 1, Miss = (-2), OK = 1

All ITG Main Events will be using the following Scoring method:
Fantastic = 2, Excellent = 1, Miss = (-3), OK = 1, Mine = (-1)

PIU will be based on machine score.

You MUST SHOW on Friday to qualify for any Dance Game Main Events.

Seeding will be determined by a qualifying round before the actual competition takes place. All qualifying songs will be announced before qualifying begins. Participants will go up to play the chosen qualifying song. Participants will be seeded from highest scoring player to lowest scoring player for each game.

DDR Extreme Nonstop Caprice Tournament

This will be a full Double Elimination tournament.

The higher seed has the choice of choosing which side of the pad he/she wants.

All matches will be played on Nonstop using Random Caprice. For each match, a player can choose to veto the song choices given only ONCE. If both players veto 2 different sets of choices, the 3rd set will be played. NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • No turn mods allowed. Speed and Note Skin mods are your preference. Solo can only be used only if agreed upon by both participants.
  • If you FAIL, your opponent wins the match.
  • All arbitration situations will be handled at the tournament coordinator’s discretion.

This will be a full Double Elimination tournament.

The higher seed has the choice of choosing which side of the pad he/she wants. Higher seed can defer choice of side for choosing 1st song and difficulty. After first choice, the opposing player will pick their song and difficulty. The first player to win 2 songs will move on to the next round. All matches will be 2 out of 3 songs excluding Finals, which will be 3 out of 5.

If each player wins one song (or two songs in Finals), an additional song will be chosen using a card draw system. The card draw system will choose 3 random songs. The lower seed will choose a song to eliminate. The higher seed will choose a 2nd song to eliminate. The 3rd song will be played to determine the winner.

All Finals matches will be best 3 out of 5.

  • No turn mods allowed. Speed and Note Skin mods are your preference (if applicable).
  • You are not allowed to choose a song more than once throughout the competition.
  • You are not allowed to choose the same song your opponent chose previously in the same match.
  • If you FAIL or stop playing the song for 2 seconds (whichever comes first), your opponent wins the song.
  • All arbitration situations will be handled at the tournament coordinator’s discretion.

This will be a full Double Elimination tournament. ITG Theme will be on Simply Love.

Each match will be played using the Card Draw system. 5 songs will be randomly chosen and both players will have the opportunity to remove 1 song. The 3 songs remaining will be played in order from how they were randomized. The higher seed will have the choice of the following 2 options: Choice of Pad Side (Left or Right), Choice of Song Removal (1st or 2nd). The first player to win 2 songs will move on to the next round. All matches will be 2 out of 3 songs throughout the competition.

  • No turn mods allowed. Speed and Note Skin mods are your preference (if applicable).
  • If you FAIL or stop playing the song for 2 seconds (whichever comes first), your opponent wins the song.
  • All arbitration situations will be handled at the tournament coordinator’s discretion.

Higher seed will have first choice of the following three options:

  • Choice of Pad (left or right)
  • Choice of Song Pick (first or second)
  • Choice of Elimination of Card Draw Song (first or second)

Random songlists will be provided for each round to choose from for each match. These lists will be determined and announced at the tournament. Matches will be 2 out of 3 songs. The higher seed has the choice of choosing which side of the pad he/she wants.

All matches will begin with a random. Loser of the random song will choose the next song. If the loser of the random wins his choice, the winner of the random will select the 3rd song. The first player to win 2 songs will move on to the next round.

All Finals matches will be best 3 out of 5.

All arbitration situations will be handled at the coordinator’s discretion.


DDR Storm Freestyle Tournament

PROMO: The first 30 entrants will receive a FREE DDR Storm XV Rally Towel!

Freestyle will be overseen by a panel of randomly selected judges.

For freestyle, you may choose between DDR, In the Groove, and Pump It Up.

Edits may be used for ITG. Songs used must be appropriate in language. If your song choice is under 75 steps, it cannot be used. Songs cannot exceed 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

You are allowed to participate in a couples freestyle and your own single freestyle in the same competition.

If you fail your routine, you will be given a second chance with a penalty.  After all players have participated, the judges will have their “huddle time” to determine the winners based on their scores.  The judges have the ability to change any scores or decision before the winners are announced.

Props are allowed for use during the freestyle. If any prop is deemed to be inappropriate (i.e. vulgarity, sexual references), it will not be allowed to be used. If you are unsure of it, ask me.


DDR Storm Rumble

DDR Challenge Tournament

Scoring will be varied depending on type of challenge.

For this competition, a total of 8 different challenges will be available to be chosen randomly. Only 5-7 challenges will be used for the entire competition depending on the amount of time available. The challenges to be used are listed below.

Challenges are tentative and may be changed before the event date:

Anything But… – Since we gettin old, we have retired Drop It Like It’s Hot! Now you can use ANYTHING but… your feet.
Miss me? – Get the most amount of misses without failing the song. Winner determined by highest amount of misses w/o failing.
Stuck on Bar– Facing the crowd, both hands must be on the bar. During the song, you may look at the screen over your shoulder. The rest of your body must remain facing the crowd. Winner based on perfect/marvelous count.
Spinners – How many complete spins can you do? The amount of complete spins you do on the DDR pad will be counted. The player with the most complete spins wins. Don’t fail. (Failing song = Strike)
Deaf & Blind – Play chosen song on x1, hidden & dark with volume off. Score is by Perfect Attack.
Bust Back – Both players on both sides. Backs must be touching each other. Play this way for the duration of the song. Perfect/Marvelous will be added up.
Combo Breaker – Keep your Max Combo no more than 15 and switch with your partner. They will do the same. Winner based on perfect/marvelous count. Go over 15 and you are OUT!
Let’s Go Spooning – For the team! Both players will receive 2 spoons and 2 balls. A spoon must be carried in each hand along with a ball on the spoon. Play the chosen song and try to keep from dropping the balls. Winner based on perfect/marvelous count. (Drop 1 ball = -20 Marvelous, Drop all balls = Out)
